Suzanne was born in Southern Illinois. She lived there until taking a teaching job in St. Louis where she met Bill in 1970.The Rice family made 12 moves during Bill’s military career; several of them were overseas. They have three children – two daughters and a son (USMA 2010). She has always been a proud Field Artillery wife and now, a Field Artillery Mom.
