What West Point Means to Me

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

After four years at their “Rockbound Highland Home” studying, competing, leading and stretching their minds, bodies and spirits, the members of the Class of 1969 stood on the field at Michie Stadium ready to receive their diplomas and to be sworn in as officers in the United States Army (a few went into the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Marines). June 4, 1969 would become a milestone for the 800 men who crossed the stage that day. Now, 50 years later, they celebrate together and remember. In this bulletin, many of the authors of thedaysforward.com will tell you how they were indelibly shaped by the years they spent together at West Point. On their graduation day, they could never have guessed where they would go from West Point (Take a look at our map here) and what they would do. Their exciting adventures are recorded in thedaysforward.com. We hope you will keep reading their stories – more are on the way! We salute the United States Military Academy Class of 1969 on their 50th reunion.
