Glenn Porter

Born and raised in the Arizona desert and now live on the Chesapeake Bay – go figure. Followed graduation from West Point with a 21-year Army career and another 20 years supporting the Department of Defense as a contractor doing systems engineering and program management. Hobbies include getting outside (tennis, biking, trekking, kayaking), fix/make it around the house, model airplanes, choral/choir singing, reading and communicating with family and friends. As part of giving back, I have been a mentor for 8 years to a young man in my community who has had many challenges in his young life.  It’s been valuable for both of us.  I believe mentoring can heal a lot of ills in this nation, and we have people in every city, town and village in this great country that can do it.  I’ve been blessed to be married to Bev for 53 years.
