Geoffrey Moran served nearly twenty-five years on active duty, five of them as an armor officer in Germany, Vietnam and the US, and nineteen more years as an Army chaplain. During five years in the reserves after armor branch, he completed his Doctor of Ministry and was ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He served two years in a civilian pastorate with his wife, Rev. Dr. Ruth Ann Moran, before returning to active duty. The Moran’s have two daughters and three grandsons. Geoff, teaches world religions at a community college, is a frequent guest preacher at local churches, and continues his avocation playing jazz drums and vibes in several groups.
