Cary was born in Tampa, Florida. In 1983 he returned there to practice law. He helped start the firm of Gaylord, Merlin, Ludovici & Diaz in 2000. He has been selected for the Florida Trend Legal Elite Hall of Fame, Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America and The American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a Deacon at Idlewild Baptist Church and the Chairman of the Board of FamilyFirst providing parenting, marriage, and relational resources to help people love their families well.
