The second eldest of 7 kids from Brooklyn, NY, I was thrilled to be admitted to West Point.
4 Years later I was thrilled to become an Army Engineer. That career choice led to far flung future opportunities including building utility systems, and teaching patrolling to third country nationals in Thailand; commanding a company of 500, mentoring lieutenants, and teaching at Fort Belvoir; analysis of the Beirut Bombing, Congressional testimony, program management of the Pentagon Renovation and Ronald Reagan Building in DC; managing relocation programs in Korea and Guam; reestablishing traffic in Manhattan following 9/11; building a church parish hall in Hawaii; and supporting the standup of our country’s largest and fastest supercomputer.
My wanderlust was satiated primarily between work assignments and SCUBA diving — having been on all 7 continents and many islands in between — often with my wife of 49 years, Diane, and our daughter.
