Janie was born and lived in Tulsa, OK until moving to Nashville, TN. She attended the University of Kentucky where she earned a teaching degree. She taught GED Algebra in Germany, preschool at Stewart (West Point), substituted in many state and finally 4th and 6th grade during Mike’s subsequent 11 active duty years and during their civilian life. They moved 18 times in 44 years of marriage; most of those moves came during their Army years. Janie and Mike were blessed with two children who are their pride and joy. Janie resides today in San Antonio, TX near her daughter and her son lives in Seattle.
